Simple Ice Shader for Blender Cycles

Here is my simple Ice Shader for Blender Cycles.

Ice_correction

The Node setup is very simple and easy to understand.

Here is the complete Node-Setup.

Ice_shader

The first part is just a Glass BSDF Shader the Roughness is controlled by an ice texture.

Ice0044_35_L_small_imageYou can get the ice texture at CGtexture.com. Just Click on the image to download it directly.

By controlling the texture with a Mapping Node you can easly controll the Mapping of the texture. The RGB Curves Node is to controll the contrast of the texture.

Because we ice is not like glass we need a Translucent BSDF node to create refraction and absorbation of the ray of light.
In the green Layout Frame you can see how the refraction is controlled. Just play arround with this node setup and create the ice of your choice.

Boost Contrast in Photoshop

Boost Contrast in Photoshop is something which is needed really often in Photoshop. In this tutorial will show you how to boost the contrast of a Photo using Photoshop. We’re going to use a Black/White adjustment layer to give the Photo back the contrast and give it the feel of depth.

Vintage Photo Effect in Photoshop

The Vintage Photo Effect in Photoshop is a great effect to add this old 80’s Polaroid Instant Camera look to your images. Strong colors, under and over exposed areas and burned out on the frames.

Vintage Photo Effect in Photoshop

The untouched Photo is not really good, but with the Vintage Photo effect the Photo looks better and it doesn’t matter anymore that the original isn’t that good. As you can see the Vintage Photo Effect is an effective way to give even bad images a better look. I don’t give you in the video exact numbers or settings, I just show you the overall technique. It depends strongly on the image which settings are the best. Find your own settings and belive your eyes.
